“Gone Bananas was the perfect choice. The house is decorated beautifully and is very comfortable. Patti and Dave have thought of everything to make this rental feel like a home. The house is very well maintained and clean. The kitchen was filled with top notch pots, pans, dishes, utinsils and much more. There Is a small cooler, beach towels and even a large beach bag to carry them in. Dave and Patti are so knowledgeable about the area and shared lots of tips and suggestions before our trip via email. They met us at our boat to help bring our luggage and food to the house. It felt like we were coming home to family. After a quick tour of the house and yard which is full of lush tropical plants and lined with beautiful conch shells, they left us to begin our week stay. They explained they were close by if we needed anything. The Wi-Fi worked great, we downloaded an App before arriving that allowed us to call and text our children via Wi-Fi free. Lubbers Quarter Cay residents were very friendly and welcoming. The house is located in the middle between the dock and the marina and an easy 5 min walk to both. The golf cart was great to explore island and carry our items for the day to the boat or beach. Every evening after dinner we walked to the marina to see the sea turtles, then to the dock for the sunset! The dock was also a great place to fish. This was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had and we will definitely return.”
The Hanafourdes were outstanding hosts and communicated all pertinent information that might be needed to make our stay more comfortable and pleasurable. The accommodations were exceptional and equipped with all necessary amenities, including satellite TV and wireless WiFi. The rooms were spacious, attractive and comfortably decorated. The kitchen and eating areas were fantastic and left nothing to be desired. The outside porch and decks gave way for experiencing the truly tropical paradise that one could hope to experience in Abaco. We were provided with a golf cart to explore all aspects of Lubbers. Additionally,we were only a short boat ride from pristine beaches, reefs for snorkeling, and the quaint village of Hopetown on Elbow Cay that offers many fine restaurants and shopping.
The only comment from our family was that we did not have enough time to do everything we wanted to, so we must plan another trip.
